I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1989. At Wellington, Ks, I taught vocal music (choir) grades 6-12 for seven years. In 1996, I became their Director of Technology. I created a plan to implement technology from scratch and assisted in the passing of an LOB to fund it. The Wellington school district was comparable in size to Tonganoxie; apx 1800 students, and 800+ workstations.
From 2003-2007, I was the Director of Technology for the Derby USD 260. My staff and I supported almost 4000 computers at 9 elementaries, a 6th grade center, middle school, the largest high school in Kansas with apx 7000 users. At the end of July 2007, 1.5 weeks prior to school starting, I became the Technology Coordinator here at Tonganoxie. It has been a fast and furious time. We have completely rebuilt the network and are 98% migrated from a Macintosh environment to Windows. We, I, am proud of the work we've accomplished, but also realize we have a long way to go. I look forward to continued improvement. I am married to Michelle (1990) and have five awesome children. In 10-11, Cassie is a college freshman, Jordan is a high school sophomore, Quinten is in 5th grade, Weston is in 2nd grade, and Zoe is in kindergarten. Michelle is a medical technologist at North Kansas City Hospital. Cassie is a meteorology major at the University of Oklahoma and AFROTC cadet. Jordan swims year-round for the Kansas City Blazers and is/has been ranked in Missouri Valley's "Running Top 8" list. Quinten, Weston and Zoe have not gravitated to anything in particular. We live in North Kansas City, Missouri and it's about a 35 minute commute for me. | |
